CB has loved sponsoring the various racing teams and will continue to do so. But we want to provide a service that the entire cycling community can enjoy. Thus the birth of the Cambridge Bicycle Cycling Club.
We will provide opportunities for cyclists to get the most out of the sport. We will offer great rides, guidance and support in a non-threatening, non-competitive atmosphere.
For those of you who care to try your hand at racing, we will have regular outings with local racers where you can get the skinny on what it takes when you pin on a number. We will also provide transportation to the New England Velodrome on Tuesday nights, so that beginners can try track racing. Throughout the season, there will be frequent bicycle rides to the Wells Ave. Training Series so that members can try out road racing.
Members will take advantage of a 10% shop discount as well as "members only" pricing on club clothing and designated merchandise. Additionally, members will get expedited mechanical service from the shop so that they can stay on their bikes.

Cambridge Bicycle Cycling Club
CBCC offers members a cycling community that focuses on the enjoyment of cycling in all of its forms. The club sponsors road rides and outings for cyclists. All cyclists are welcome and beginners are encouraged. All rides are "no drop," unless otherwise noted.
10 Rules for CBCC Group Rides
- 1. Wear a helmet (ANSI or Snell-approved)
- 2. At least a front brake on fixed gear bicycles
- 3. No headphones or cellphone calls while riding.
- 4. Sign a CBCC release form before going on your first ride
- 5. All riders must obey all applicable traffic laws (red lights, stop signs, riding no more than 2 abreast)
- 6. Do not ride through an intersection unless everyone behind you will make it also (no sprinting for yellow lights)
- 7. Use hand signals and/or verbal signals for all turns and road hazards
- 8. Bicycles must be mechanically sound. Riders should carry basic repair supplies (tubes, levers, air, multitool)
- 9. Riders must ride safely and predictably—Endangerment of other riders will not be tolerated.
- 10. Let the ride leader know if you abandon the ride.

5. To provide a cyclists with a community of diverse, yet like minded, enthusiasts to enjoy the sport with.
6. To provide support for new cyclists, consisting of encouragement, advice, clinics, mentoring and companionship.
7. For interested riders, provide an introduction to competitive cycling.
8. To provide activities and content of interest to area cyclists, including outings to charity events, local competitive events as well as purely social, cycling-based events.
